Belinda (Jane Wyman Jane Wyman) is a peasant girl born in a poor family, born deaf and dumb, losing all ways to communicate with the outside world. Belinda's mother died in childbirth, so her father shifted all the responsibility to the innocent Belinda and turned a blind eye to her.
