Washington police officer Alex Kross (Morgan Freeman Morgan Freeman) is a police counselor. He suddenly received the news that his niece, who was studying in Durham, North Carolina, was missing. In order to find his niece, Alex decided to find out. However, when he arrived at the local police station, Alex found that there had been a series of missing girls, and his niece was only one of the victims, all of them were smart and beautiful girls. Kate McTiernan (Ashley Judd Ashley Judd), a female doctor who narrowly escaped death, is the only girl to get away with it. All she remembers is a masked psychopath who calls herself "Casanova". Kate provides Alex with many valuable clues, but the cunning Casanova never shows up and is still at large. A long and arduous manhunt began. This film is based on a novel of the same name by James Patterson, a well-known American best-selling novelist.
