Koibumi (1953)

Makoto Riji (Mori Yazhi), who returned to the motherland from the battlefield, came to Tokyo to find his first love from childhood, Daozi (Hisako Miko). The penniless he lives in a shabby apartment with his brother Ah Yang (Dao Sanzhong San), who runs a used book purchase business, and ekes out a living on his brother's income. One day, Riji ran into Naoki Yamanagi, a classmate of the military academy (Koji Ueno), who made a living by writing letters in English and French, serving a group of poor women who had fallen in love with foreign soldiers and whose lovers were now left behind in Japan. Liji, who did not want to drag his brother down, accepted the invitation of the straight man and came to the Lilan area to help women write letters. One day by chance, he met the Taoist who had been looking for for a long time, and Daozi was one of these unlucky women.
