Geppetto is a lonely old carpenter who has been longing for a son to accompany him since his wife died. One day, Geppetto made a puppet out of a piece of walnut borrowed from a neighbor, but the puppet turned into a little boy and claimed his name was Pinocchio. Since he had the son Pinocchio, Geppetto cared for him so much that he even sold his only warmer to sew a new suit for Pinocchio and send him to school. However, the naughty Pinocchio ran away from home with Mangapork's magic troupe in order to play truant. In the days when he left home, Pinocchio experienced many strange things as well as all kinds of dangers. To this end, the Blue Fairy who turned him into a little boy turned him back into a puppet twice. After experiencing all kinds of dangers and setbacks, Pinocchio gradually understood the painstaking efforts of his father, Geppetto. Finally, after falling into the mouth of the shark, he successfully rescued his father Geppetto, who fell into the belly of the shark when he went out to sea to find himself.
