Heiber (Robert Cobb Roberto Cobo), a teenager who escaped from juvie, leads the children to bully the blind old man (Miguel Crane Miguel Incl á n) in the street, robbing him of his money and breaking his drum. In the evening, an unnamed country child "Little eyes" (M á Rio Rami í rez) is abandoned by his father in the bazaar. One of the children, Pedro (Alfonso Mej í a), sympathizes with him and takes him to a friend's cowshed for the night. Pedro himself was driven out of the house because he was disgusted by his mother (Eastner Inda Estela Inda) because he spent all day with gangsters and didn't look for a job to help his family. On the other hand, Haiber thought about his quarrel with another teenager a year ago and asked Pedro to take him to seek revenge. Pedro wants to break away from Haeber and go home, but things are not as simple as they thought. This film was nominated for best picture and best director at the Cannes Film Festival in 1951. In 1953, he won the Best Picture Award of the British Film and Television Association.
