An unexpected encounter makes the young Kristen (Sylvie Testude Sylvie Testud) have to face the tragic experience that she will spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. With a great blow, Christine chooses to live a lonely life on an uninhabited island. However, after suffering, anger and destruction, Christine is back on her feet. She has an ideal that has not been realized. That is to go on a pilgrimage to the Pyrenees Mountains.
