In pursuit of the real killer of her boyfriend Rishaal, journalist Paula came to Atlantis, a place deeply influenced by American culture, and then there were a lot of people like Donald, Richard, Widmark and Doris. Mizoguchi. A weirdo with a strange name. Paula is also involved in political intrigue and gang incidents in the process of pursuing the truth. French New Wave film master Godal put all the elements of American Hollywood gangster movies into this very deliberate political horror film, obviously to Samuel, a master of this type. Fuller, Nicholas? Ray, Howard? Hawkes and others made imitative salutes, and many real political backgrounds and assassinations were involved in the film. Although the plot of the whole film is absurd and pretentious, however, the director shows the French social scene deeply influenced and dominated by American pop culture through pop music (one of which is "the passage of time" in North Africa), advertising illustrations, atmosphere treatment and so on. Marked by "made in America", Godal's consciousness of political criticism entered its later stage. He fiercely opposed the narrative convention of film as the main expression of realistic politics in the category of film art. To this end, his means of expression in the film.
