Based on real events, double-sided Martha was shortlisted for the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival as a focus unit. The young girl Martha (Elizabeth Olsen Elizabeth Olsen) once strayed into a cult, was brainwashed by Patrik (John Hax John Hawkes) and "raped" in the name of religious rituals, and finally escaped the control of the cult. Then she finds her sister Lucy (Sarah Paulson Sarah Paulson), starts a new life with her sister and brother-in-law Ted (Hugh Dancy Hugh Dancy) and keeps quiet about what happened when she disappeared in the past. In the seemingly normal and peaceful life day after day, Martha tries to forget the unbearable past.
