The play is the second play of the Eternal Universe, adapted from Anne Rice's Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy of Mayfair sorceress. The story is about an intuitive young neurosurgeon, Rowan Fielding, who finds herself an unexpected heir to a witch family. As she struggles with the newfound power, she also has to deal with an evil that has plagued her family for generations. The show Universe is based on Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicle-Mayfair Witch" series, led by producer Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad and coquettish lawyer), while Anne and his son Christopher Rice worked as non-scriptwriter executive producers.
