Six-year-old girl Eliza (Anastasiya Dontsova) lives with her mother (Mariya Sokova) and grandmother on the shores of the Black Sea in Russia. On weekdays, when their grandparents and grandchildren stay at home, their mother works hard to make money and complains. Little Alicia wanted to learn ballet, but she was opposed by her mother and was sent to the choir class. After a solar eclipse, Alicia decided not to say a word. Her mother sought treatment everywhere and finally had no choice but to send her daughter to a special school. Eliza (Mariya Shalayeva) spends ten years here and thinks she has learned how to get what she wants. Her wishes make her boring life colorful, although bad things often happen. This film won the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival critic Phoebe Award, the 2008 Karlovivali International Film Festival Best Independent Film Award, the 2008 Sundance Film Festival Director Award and so on.
