The story takes place in Holland in the middle of the seventeenth century. Druitt (Frank Ramos Frank Lammers) succeeds Malten (Rutger Hal Rutger Hauer) to become the new admiral, who has proved his wisdom and strength with successive victories and won the trust and respect of his subordinates. Republican official John (Barry Azma Barry Atsma) and Prince William III of the Orange Party (Albert Yang Weber Egbert Jan Weeber) compete without gunpowder for power. At the same time, the war between the Netherlands and Britain is in full swing. Leading his fleet, Druitt successfully repelled the enemy and became a national hero, but his fame forced him to get involved in the royal struggle for power, even threatening the lives of him and his family.
