In 1965, on an island called New Penzance, a group of boy scouts were stationed at Camp Ivanhe. Boy Scout instructor Ward (Edward Norton Edward Norton) finds Sam (Jared Gilman Jared Gilman) leaving a message one morning, so Ward and a group of Boy Scouts start looking for Sam, and Island Police Sharp (Bruce Willis Bruce Willis) also launches a search around the island. It turns out that Sam's escape has been planned for a long time, and he runs away with the "problem" girl Susie (Carla Hayward Kara Hayward), the daughter of a couple of lawyers on the island, whose parents regard Susie as a problem child. During the search, Susie's father (Bill Murray Bill Murray) seems to be aware that his wife is having an affair with the police. The search team, made up of a team of boy scouts, instructors of boy scouts, police, and parents of lawyers, finally found the two men who had escaped. Since Sam is an orphan, he must be sent to a juvenile shelter after this incident. That night, the Boy Scout team decided to help Sam and Susie out again.
