Navalny (2022)

On August 20, 2020, Russian opposition figure and anti-corruption activist Alexei Navalny was hospitalized after being injected with Novijok nerve agent. On a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, his condition worsened and his life was in critical condition. After the plane made an emergency landing in Omsk, Navalny, who was in a coma, was taken to hospital, and two days later he was transferred to Shalit Hospital in Berlin, Germany. During his recovery, Navalny narrowly escaped death and joined forces with a group of journalists to investigate the murder targeting him. The film won the most popular award at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and the audience Award for the American documentary Competition.
