The stunning young A Tian (Tony Jia Tony Jaa) lives in Batu Village, a peaceful village in Thailand. He has learned Muay Thai from an early age with his master. One night, Ba Duan, a worthless young man in the village, injured Ah Tian's master and stole the head of the Buddha statue that the villagers were piously waiting for. Shouldering the trust and expectation of the villagers, A Tian embarked on the road of finding Ba Duan and the head of the Buddha. After several twists and turns, he found his fellow countryman Ahanlai in Bangkok. Unexpectedly, he was just a small gangster with an eye for money, who had no intention to help at all. Instead, he used Ah Tian's skills to make a lot of money in the black market boxing ring. A Tian is famous in the black market boxing ring, but he never forgets the Buddha's head in the village and is still preoccupied with tracking it down. Inevitably, he will have a series of contests with the criminal syndicates of cultural relics that have done a lot of evil. This film won the Asian Action Unit Award at the 6th Deauville Asian Film Festival in France in 2004 and the Orient Express Award at the Sitges-Catalonian International Film Festival in 2003.
