Mr. Cham (Robert Redford Robert Redford) is an old carpenter who always likes to tell children a story about dragons who live in the dense jungle of the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Cham says he has witnessed the existence of dragons. Daughter Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard Bryce Dallas Howard) is dismissive of the story that her father has told a million times. She thinks it is definitely a story made up by her father's nonsense. By chance, Grace meets a boy named Peter (Ox Fogre Oakes Fegley). The boy tells Grace that he has no family or family, and that his only friend is a flying dragon named Elliot. Pete's account reminds Grace of her father's story, and there is a striking similarity between the two. In order to confirm Peter's words, Grace embarks on a journey to find the dragon.
