Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman) is a private investigator. His job is mainly to help clients regain forgotten memories and indulge in the dark and seductive bygone times. Nick lives in Miami, which has been partially submerged by rising sea levels, but when he takes over his new client May (Rebecca Ferguson), his life changes forever. A simple task of finding lost property turned into a crisis-ridden mystery. Nick tries to find the truth about May's disappearance, and huge plots related to the survival of the whole city are gradually emerging. He has to race against the clock to solve the memory mystery, but can he really find the truth about Mei's disappearance before he plots to engulf himself? At the same time, Nick has to face the ultimate problem: what are you willing to give to keep the person you love most?
