Rukajärven tie (1999)

In the summer of 1941, Finnish troops moved and massed along the Finnish-Russian border, and Lieutenant Eero led a platoon of soldiers waiting for orders to attack. They were ordered to cross the wilderness around a lake to detect possible Russian defensive positions. While the scout was waiting in a village to rest, Eero bumped into his fiancee. As the platoon continued its reconnaissance mission, Eero received a very bad news. The news made him indifferent to himself and the safety of the platoon for the rest of the mission.
