In the 1950s, Alice left her hometown of Switzerland for the vibrant "Paris of the East" Beirut. Alice soon integrated into local life and fell in love with Joseph, an astrophysicist from Lebanon, at first sight to form a happy family. When Joseph focused on the historic mission of sending the Lebanese into space for the first time, the civil war gradually threatened their Garden of Eden, and Alice was forced to stand at the crossroads of life choices. Although the topic of the war is heavy, the creative live-action animation is interspersed with the whole film, which harmonizes the tone of the film. The director perfectly integrates the family history into the film and gives his views on the sense of belonging through exquisite but not redundant emotional output.
