Southland (2009 - 2013)
The crime drama, starring three Emmy-winning actors John Wells, Ann Biderman and Chris Chulack, tells the story of the police in the Los Angeles Police Department from a unique perspective. They are active everywhere from the scenic beaches of Malibu to the intricate streets of East Los Angeles-fighting criminals, dealing with victims and enlisting the understanding and support of their families. Michael Cudlitz ("A River Runs Through It") plays the experienced police officer John Cooper and is instructed to guide the rookie Ben Sherman (Benjamin McKenzie, "The O.C."). Cooper's loyal, serious, pragmatic and results-oriented work attitude makes the impetuous Sherman doubt whether he can be a qualified policeman.
