Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed (2007)

Thirty years ago, a movie called Star Wars was released. This unexpected film takes the audience to another galaxy far away. It caught the attention of the public at that time, and thirty years later it still has a great attraction. On Memorial Day Monday, May 28, at 9 p.m., the History Channel will broadcast Star Wars. This two-hour documentary will take us to explore why Star Wars legends have left such a fresh spiritual impact for so long. In the film, we interviewed politicians, scholars, journalists and critics. From these interviews, we can see the legendary similarities between Luke Skywalker and King Arthur, as well as the similarities between Buddha and Yoda. We can see that Star Wars stories draw nourishment from sources from ancient Greek legends to the Bible and even American farce, and it is such fascinating stories that inspire us to explore some of the greatest problems of our time.
