In Afghanistan or some other village suffering from war, a beautiful middle-aged woman took care of her frail husband day after day in the living room. One day, the desperate woman broke out, facing her silent husband, talking about children, loneliness, dreams, desires. She touched him and kissed him, things she had never done even though she had been married for ten years. The man who had been paralyzed for many years inadvertently became the magical stone in the fable: listening to and absorbing all the pain and secrets.
