This is a story about Chinese illegal immigrants working and living in New York. Ding Ming, the protagonist in the play, was beaten by two gangsters before he got up at the beginning of the movie, and ordered him to hand over $800 in usury fees smuggled into the United States that day, so he began a crazy busy day. His companions who work in restaurants even sacrifice their working hours for him, just to help him pay off his debts as soon as possible. During the whole day's work with Ding Ming, the whole film presents the truth that illegal immigrants are unknown. The actor who plays Ding Ming: Charles Jang, an American of Korean descent, has also studied Chinese in Taiwan for a year for this film. The whole film runs through the play in Putonghua, and the role of the restaurant manager is played by Li Yundi. The film, featuring director Zou Shiyun's downstairs restaurant, produces stunning drama and tension under a very low budget. It is a very moving and must-see masterpiece. We hope to faithfully present on the screen the difficulties encountered by illegal Chinese immigrants living in New York, and we are glad that this film can arouse the concern and resonance of many people. Of course, the whole shooting process and completion, are.
