That Darn Cat (1997)

Sixteen-year-old Patty (Christina Ritchie Christina Ricci) is at a rebellious age. She pays no attention to anyone because of her haughty personality. The only thing she cares about and loves is a pet cat named DC. Whenever night falls, DC, who is free by nature, sneaks out of the door. In a mishit, he even patronizes the scene of a kidnapping. Soon, Patty found a mysterious distress signal, and she reported the news to the local police station, but was kicked out as a prank.
