The Adversary (2002)

On January 9, 1993, Jean-Claude Lemmon killed his wife, children and parents. Then he tried to kill himself, but failed. He has claimed to be a doctor for 18 years, but the investigation shows that he is not a doctor at all. All he has done over the years is to weave and cover up lies. When his secret was about to be revealed, he desperately tried to destroy all those he could not face. Before January 9, 1993, everyone who knew Jean-Claude Harmon said that he was a superb doctor and a good man: he worked for the World Health Organization and often traveled everywhere; he had many friends in the medical community; and when he was free, he is always willing to participate in community affairs. No one realized that Harmon never graduated from medical school, including his medical school classmates. For eighteen years, Harmon deceived everyone with one lie. When the lie was finally exposed, Harmon, feeling unable to face the eyes of his relatives, killed his wife and two children on January 9, 1993, then killed his parents, set fire to the house, and finally tried to commit suicide.
