The Browning Version (1994)

The story takes place in a British school where classical literature teacher Harris (Albert Finney Albert Finney) is about to usher in his retirement day. Tuplo (Ben Silverstone Ben Silverstone) is Harris's favorite student, but Taplo tells Harris that he has decided to give up classical literature and study science instead. After that, the headmaster went to Harris and told him the bad news that the school was not going to pay him a pension. When Harris's wife Laura (Greta Scatcher Greta Scacchi) heard the news, a fierce quarrel broke out with her husband. In fact, Laura has already betrayed Harris and has an improper relationship with a man named Frank (Matthew Mordeon Matthew Modine).
