James Franco has been planning to put the shooting process of the cult movie "Room" on the screen since last year. Recently, the film not only decided on the title "The Disaster Artist", but also hired the new line film industry, which focuses on the production and distribution of horror films, to be the catcher. The Room, which was released in 2003, is a cult film written, directed and acted by Tommy Weisu, which is regarded by many as one of the worst films. However, the film is completely rotten out of style and realm, and is even called "Citizen Kane" of the bad film world. The film basically revolves around the love triangle between Tommy Weisu's protagonist and his fiancee and best friend, whether it's the actor's poor acting skills, the plot twist or the unaesthetic mirror. In 2013, Gregor Zestrol and Tom Bissell, one of the actors in Room, co-published the disaster Artist, reviewing the film's shooting process. In his book, Gozestro writes that Tomi Weisu had no experience in filmmaking at all when he started filming the film. While directing the film, Fran will also play Tommy Wessel, his brother Dave Fu.
