Jack McKee (William Hurt) is a respected doctor. In the eyes of others, he has almost everything. He is very successful, has a lot of money, and has no thorny problems to be too busy. Even he himself is quite satisfied with such a life. Until one day, he was diagnosed with throat cancer. Although he took a lot of medicine, went to many hospitals and saw many doctors, his condition was not effectively controlled.
