In March 1945, American allies captured Cologne and rescued a large number of civilians and prisoners of war. Karl's heart was not relaxed by his release, and those heavy and horrible images surfaced from time to time, and a little-known history unfolded before people's eyes: in the middle and later stages of World War II, Carl and his brother Peter. And his wife, Shiri, with children, live in the basement of an abandoned apartment. Karl and several friends formed Edelweiss Pirates to help local civilians and keep them away from the flames of war. Sometimes they clashed with the Nazi children's regiment. Peter is a member of the Nazi Children's Regiment. Deeply influenced by his brother, he doesn't like war and often vacillates between the two sides. One day, Carl, they found an injured prisoner of war, Hans, and took him home to recover. Gradually, there was a feeling between Hans and Healy. Carl was very dissatisfied with this and felt sorry for his sacrificed brother. But Hans thought he could take care of Shiri and his son. The two made a long-standing wish. In order to introduce Hans, the Nazis kidnapped Shiri and her son, Hans and Carl, and others went to the rescue but failed. Hans was also hurt, and Peter was always by his side.
