The Innocence Files (2020)
The innocent Archives reveals unknown personal stories behind eight unjust cases. Organizations in the not-for-profit redress Program and the Alliance of innocence discovered these cases and spared no effort to overturn them. The nine-episode series consists of three wonderful parts (evidence, witnesses and prosecution). These stories reveal the true state of the severely flawed American criminal justice system and show that when innocent people are convicted, it is not only the parties who suffer irreparable wounds: families, crime victims and trust in the system are also damaged in the process. The innocent Archives is produced and directed by Oscar nominee Lizzie Gabas, Academy Award winner Alex Gibney and Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams. Oscar nominees Jed Rothstein, Emmy winners Andy Griff and Sarah Dolan directed some of the series.
