The Little Colonel (1935)

Only 6-year-old Lauder Sherman (Shirley Temple Xiulan Deng Bo) is a naive and lovely little girl, she is naive and adorable, and her father's soldiers are jokingly called the little colonel. Laude's mother, Elizabeth (Evelyn Venable), is the daughter of a Confederate colonel who falls in love with Jack from the north, but is opposed by her staid father (Lionel Barrymore).
