The Major (2013)

The film tells the story of how a police officer deals with his crime after accidentally killing a child, especially his hesitation and struggle between law and morality. On the day of the incident, Sergei Sobolev, a police officer, drove to the hospital to visit his wife who was about to give birth. Because the car was going too fast, he knocked down a boy playing by the side of the road and the boy died on the spot. In a panic, Sobolev called a friend in the police station for help, so the whole world covered up the crime for him, falsified evidence and shut up. As the case progressed, Sobolev gradually realized that his cowardice had led to the death of many innocent people. In order to prevent the incident from getting worse, Sobolev tried to make up for his mistake, but now it was too late to save it, and he had to fight the whole situation.
