The Man Without a Face (1993)

The tragic past makes the 12-year-old boy Chuck (Nick Starr Nick Stahl) more mature and stable than his peers. In his heart, it is Chuck's greatest wish to be able to attend the school his dead father once attended. By chance, Chuck meets a man named McCleo (Mel Gibson Mel Gibson). At first, Chuck's hideous face startled Chuck, but as time went on, Chuck gradually realized that McCleo used to be a teacher who had been ruined to save his students. Chuck and McCleo, two hearts full of loneliness are getting closer and closer to each other, when Chuck's mother Gloria (Fay Masterson), who doesn't care about Chuck, suddenly begins to pay attention to Chuck's every move. She is secretive about McCleo's past and forbids Chuck to have any more contact with him.
