A love story soaked in bright red and pure white is written in a dim notebook and is told over and over again by an old gentleman (James Garner). The old lady (Genna Rowlands) always listens quietly, curious about the results. In a nursing home, such a constant scene takes place every day. On the notebook, the beautiful handwriting records the love that took place in that summer. Ellie (Rachel McAdams) is the daughter of a wealthy family. She comes to town with her family to spend the summer. In an amusement park full of dreams, I met Noah (Ryan Gosling). Noah had no money, but he lived happily. Ellie learned to be free and laughed in him, and the two soon fell in love. However, under the hindrance of Ellie's parents, the two people in love were separated at the end of the summer. With Noah's 365 letters secretly hidden, Ellie finally gave up waiting seven years later. The day before she was about to enter the church, she suddenly saw in the newspaper the white house that Noah had promised to build for herself. All memories, all awakened. Perhaps, the one who should wake up is not the one in the story, but the one who listens to the story.
