The Painter and the Thief (2020)

The story takes place in Norway, where two paintings by the painter Barbora Kysilkova were stolen from the museum. The thief was a drug addict named Karl-Bertil Nordland. In court, the painter finally met the thief and made an amazing decision: take the thief as the inspiration to paint. The thief and the painter thus opened up a seemingly impossible intimate relationship. Sometimes the story of a documentary is even more amazing than the plot of a fictional movie.
