The founder of the new Argentine film, Leopado Torres Nelson (Leopoldo Torre Nilsson), was adapted from the novelist Roberto Arlt's "Seven Madmen" in the 1970s. Art is the greatest left-wing realist writer and dramatist in Argentina in the 20th century. he was born into an European immigrant family, grew up in the slums of Buenos Aires, and was familiar with the sufferings and misfortunes of the lower class. later, relying on self-study, Art was deeply influenced by Russia's Dostoevsky and Chekhov. Most of the characters in his works are gangsters wandering at the bottom of society. Madmen, prostitutes and robbers use these characters to pour out his dissatisfaction and protest against social politics. The Seven Madmen in 1929 is his most famous novel, which occupies a classic position in the history of Latin American literature. (I wonder if there is any Chinese translation of this book? ). Torres Nelson's film of the same name won the Silver Bear Award for Best Picture and Best Director nomination at the Berlin Film Festival in 1973.
