The Song of Sparrows (2008)

Carlin (Rizanaki Reza Najie) makes a living by working on an ostrich farm, while her hearing-impaired daughter loses her hearing aid before the exam, while her son and a group of kids of the same age dream of cleaning up the mud and then raising goldfish to become millionaires. It takes a lot of money to buy a new hearing aid, but Carlin, who wanted to advance his salary with his boss, was fired by the boss because he lost an ostrich because of negligence at work. Carlin, who had lost his job, looked everywhere for the escaped ostrich, but found nothing. Originally, he only went to the city to repair hearing aids for his daughter, but he was treated as a passenger motorcyclist and accidentally got a job to make a living. Carlin, who commutes between home and the city, not only earns the basic cost of living, but also often brings back some waste from the city. Carlin slowly improved the life of the family by his own efforts, but the warmth that once flowed between the family slowly disappeared due to Carlin's negligence, until Carlin's accidental injury. The film was invited to participate in the competition unit of the 58th Berlin International Film Festival and starring Rizanaki won the Best Actor Award for this film.
