The story takes place in France in the 17th century, when Anna (Angela Lansbury Angela Lansbury) accidentally gives away the jewelry given to her by the king (Frank Morgan Frank Morgan) to her lover, the Duke of Buckingham. Minister Richelieu discovered this and saw it as a great opportunity to display his ambitions. The ordinary guy D'Artagnan (Gene Kelly Gene Kelly) is determined to join the Kings' musketeers. In an accident, he meets three musketeers, Assos (Van Heflin Van Heflin), Portos (Gigg Young Gig Young) and Aramis (Roberto Kut Robert Coote). D'Artagnan joined them, and the four men were destined for England to recover the Duke of Buckingham's jewels before the king discovered the truth of the incident.
