Frank (Paul Newman Paul Newman is acted the role of) is a lawyer, outside the profession, his only hobby is drinking, but drinking is bad, leading to Frank's reputation all the way down. In order to restore his reputation, Frank's friend Mickey (Jack Walden Jack Warden) introduced him to a big case in which a woman fell into a coma due to a medical accident in a church hospital.
