A group of engineers came to a small village in Iran's Kurdistan province. The villagers talked about the sudden arrival of outsiders and wondered why they came here. Although they felt strange, the villagers showed a friendly welcome to the guests. One of the engineers was interested in everything in the village. He followed the children in the village around every day and noticed a sick old lady, so he kept asking about the old lady's illness. Because the headquarters needs to be contacted by radiotelephone, and the signal in the village is not good, the engineer has to go to the graveyard on the mountain to answer it every time. On the mountain, he found a villager always digging a hole alone. Curious, he often came forward to chat with the villager. Suddenly one day, the days as smooth as the wind changed. The pit dug by the villagers on the mountain collapsed and buried the villagers alive. The doctor went to rescue the villagers and found that the old lady was also critically ill. In the face of the loss of life, the engineer was extremely melancholy. This film won the special prize of the jury of the 56th Venice Film Festival.
