The film is adapted from Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's autobiographical novel. It tells a true story about Tetsuko Kuroyanagi when the author was in elementary school. Little Doudou came to Ba Academy after being expelled from his original school due to his mischievousness. Under the love and guidance of Principal Xiaolin, Little Doudou, who was "weird" in the eyes of ordinary people, gradually became a child acceptable to everyone.
