The documentary explores the human passion for electric guitars and its impact on artists, ordinary players, pop culture, history and even politics. Speak up! Ode to Electric Guitar is the story of the electric guitar, from its invention in the 1930s to its golden age, through the phenomenon of electric guitar heroes, video games and the future of digital guitar. But it's also a series of guitar stories, where we meet all kinds of people, from rock stars, to members of Congress, CEOs, and teenage art masters, trying to understand their emotional connection to the guitar.
