This is a documentary documenting the scenes on both sides of the Doro River in Portugal as it crosses the city of Bordeaux; there are scenes of workers unloading and loading ships, the atmosphere of women working, as well as the bridges over the Doro River and the slow flow of the river. Realistic but there is no lack of romance, full of the purpose of life. Olivera's first work as a director, influenced by Walter Rutman's "Berlin: the City Symphony", was shot with a camera bought by his father. This film was unearthed and shown by Barrois assistant director, and became the representative work of Portuguese films in this period.
