Why Man Creates (1968)
Saul Bass (1920-1996) is one of the greatest graphic designers of the 20th century. He has designed posters and titles for many classic films and is also a gifted director. Why do people want to create? "it is his personal film masterpiece and is considered to be the most creative short film in the 100-year American film history. It uses images to describe the purpose, conditions, process and gradual evolution of human beings' initial creation and invention. It is an educational film (Educational Film) in terms of theme, but the expression used is very avant-garde, with eight sections and an incredible mix of documentary, animation and experimental film production techniques. It won an Oscar for best documentary short film in 1969 and was listed in the National Film Protection Agency in 2002.
