John Was Trying to Contact Aliens (2020)

The winner of the best nonfiction short film at the Sundance Film Festival is John's advertisement for finding a Man in Space (John Was Trying to Contact Aliens). The 16-minute film, directed by British director Matthew Killip, tells the story of John Shepherd who spent 30 years trying to contact aliens at his home in Michigan. He uses a large number of high-tech equipment to transmit reggae, African beats, jazz and oriental music millions of miles away.
