In 2199, the Camilas Empire, an enemy from outside the solar system, began to invade other planets in order to save the death of its home planet. The Earth Army suffered a crushing defeat in the battle with the Camelas Imperial Army, which fired a large number of radioactive planetary bombs at Earth. The earth's resistance is getting weaker and weaker. Ben and Camillas helped the twin planet Iskandar, sending the design drawings of the wave engine and wave cannon to Earth, and informed the Earth Army that the planet had the equipment to remove radioactive energy, "Cosmic Cleaner D". After losing contact with Europe and America, the Earth Defense Forces used the technology provided by Iskandar to transform the Yamato, which sleeps at the bottom of the sea, into a space warship. The crew of the Yamato embarked on a long journey to retrieve the Universe Cleaner D.
