Simon is a Cuban who specializes in shipping people who yearn for the West from Cuba to the United States. During a voyage, crew member Andries was injured, and Simon took him to Mrs. Toratoru, whom he frequented, for treatment. There, Andries met the beautiful Mary and the two fell in love. Mary is determined to go to New York, but Simon plans to sell her to Judge Akantara to make sure his business goes well. With the help of his wife, Andries and Mary decided to leave Cuba for New York of their dreams, but Simon, who realized that he actually loved Mary, secretly tricked Mary into the boat.
