Forced to make a living, Rosario (Kate del Castillo Kate del Castillo) has to leave his beloved son Carlitos (Adrian Alonso Adrian Alonso) and go to Los Angeles alone to earn money to support his family. Before leaving, she entrusts Carlitos to her mother, Benita (Angelina Pel á ez), and promises to come back to pick him up. But as the years went by, Rosario seemed to be getting farther and farther away from his original promise. Benita's death made nine-year-old Carlitos a helpless orphan. However, unlike many local children in the same situation, he did not succumb to hardship or indulge in depravity. Supported by a firm belief, he decided to go to Los Angeles to find his mother. This long journey is full of hardships and dangers, but fortunately, with the help of kind-hearted people, this family-sustained journey has come to a complete end.
