Not long ago, Annie (Katharine Hepburn Katharine Hepburn) and her husband Mike (Robert Mitchum Robert Mitchum) walked into the wedding hall hand in hand. Not long after the newlyweds' happiness was maintained, Mike's abnormal behavior began to make Anne wonder if he had a mental illness. She even suspected that her life would be threatened by Mike. Mike's brother Allen (Robert Taylor Robert Taylor) comes to Annie's home, where a third person appears to ease the tension, but soon Annie finds that there seems to be a serious irreconcilable conflict between Allen and Mike. Alan died, and many clues pointed to Mike, but Mike's innocence made Annie begin to doubt the truth of the incident.
