Vessel (2014)

Since 2001, WoW, a Dutch non-profit group, has chartered a yacht to other countries where abortion is not allowed. It docks in many countries, from Ireland to Morocco, where women eager to have an abortion can board a yacht and WoW will sail to the high seas to have them have a medical abortion-a non-surgical pill containing misoprostol and mifepristone. The feasibility of surgery stems from a loophole in international law-when on the high seas, people on board apply the laws of the country to which the ship belongs. The WoW yacht belongs to the Netherlands, where it is legal for women to have an abortion within six and a half weeks of pregnancy.
