Wo zhe yang guo le yi sheng (1985)
Gui Mei (Yang Huishan) came to Taiwan alone from Nanjing to find her fianc é. She temporarily stayed in her cousin's house, but was treated by the present and other servants. In order to get rid of her life, she committed herself to marry Hou Yongnian (Li Liqun), a middle-aged man abandoned by her wife. She became the stepmother of three children, but because Hou Yongnian was addicted to gambling and raising a woman, it made her feel like she had just left the wolf's den and entered the tiger's den. After giving birth, Gui Mei went to Japan to help others with Hou Yongnian in order to make a living. after taking the opportunity to learn good cooking skills at a local Chinese restaurant, she returned to Taiwan and opened the "Xia Fei House" restaurant independently. however, when she was diligent and frugal, Hou Yongnian relapsed, and what made her feel even more chilling was the selfishness and ruthlessness of her grown-up and accomplished children and her daughter-in-law.
